Happy, Akins, Building

I chose this photo for Happy, which could also possibly encompass Akins, because of the mascot, and his happy looking face. This is a relatively simple photo, and not as complicated as I would have wanted it to be, but I think I produce multiple guidelines of photography in this photo.

In this photo, with the name of the school labeled on our front sign, and the arching theme that most of the building architecture is related to, this was the first object that came to mind when taking the photo. Also the scrolling message board would normally display several words and messages, but I waited for the mention of "dedication" to boost the image of Akins, and I believe this also enhances the photo as one of the more excellent photos.

I attempted to show the dominant structure of the school, while keeping eyes and focus on the arch, again, the similar design to other buildings at the school. Choosing to keep the background simple, to capture the grandness of the main doors, and to reduce distractions that may come from the ground. I think this is what distinguished the photo from my other ones.
